Where and when did you get married?
Che and I were married 19th December 2015, at Sandstone Point Hotel near beautiful Bribie Island.

What made you choose your location and was it everything you expected?

We came across Sandstone Point Hotel when we were driving around exploring the area of our new home. We had only just moved in when it was being built. We felt like it was meant to be! An omen. We had been searching for well over 12 months for the perfect venue so it felt like it was built just for us.

When you think back to your wedding day, what’s the one thing that you loved the most (apart from marrying your hubby!)?
Most my favourite part of the day was incorporating my daughter into the ceremony. Laura helped to execute the best surprise of the day when she orchestrated the ring presentation to her. She didn’t know it was going to happen at all and she cried and made everyone else cry. Laura made it possible to be the sweetest moment of the day.

Your wedding day was wonderful, but if there was one thing/detail you could change about it, what would it be?
Personally I wouldn’t like to change anything, but if I could change just one thing… It would be to have my veil lifted when presented to my hubby at the start of the ceremony instead of the end. It would be nice to have pictures throughout the ceremony of me without my face hidden behind it. Especially when at the signing table. Also we couldn’t predict the wind…. Ha, had to have my bridesmaid stand on the end of it to stop it from smacking my hubby in the face. Hehehehe

What was the best advice you received whilst planning that helped you?
The best advice I received during the planning stages was designate, designate, designate. The more you designate the little stuff the more time you have to enjoy your day.
My top 3 tips for future brides
1) make sure as many people know about your plans for the day as possible. Bridal party, mothers, fathers. The more that know the less stress you will have as they will jump into action when someone isn’t standing where they should be, or to help hand out the little touches you have added, like bubbles, flower petals, parasols, etc.
2) make sure the venue doesn’t have any other large functions booked on the same day. This can make parking for your guest difficult. And could invite unwanted wanders walking past your ceremony.
3) make sure you get plenty of sleep the night before. Have a good dinner and an even better breakfast. Don’t skip lunch (even though your getting nervous) eat something! Even thou I missed my dinner by socialising with my guest, I wasn’t left tired or exhausted because I had eaten earlier in the day. Bridesmaids love to organise a champagne breakfast.
