Poppy Lane Flowers By Design
What is your name and how long have you been in business?
Stacey is the creative mind behind Poppy Lane, and it was created back in 2012, though the idea had been in the works for quite some time before that!
Why do you do what you do?
That’s an easy question, I love flowers, they make me happy. Weddings are a joyous celebration and playing a small part in someone else’s happiness brightens my day. I think I’m really lucky to be able to follow that saying ‘when you love what you do, you don’t work a day in your life’. That’s me!
What do you love most about what you do?
I love the creative element of floral design. Taking someone’s ideas and putting them together to create their vision is exciting and it’s challenging. Seeing brides faces when they see their flowers for the first time is something that I really love.
What do you want people to remember about your services?
We care about our brides and grooms and want to ensure that their day is as perfect as possible. We work hard to ensure that their floral vision becomes a reality. To achieve this, we must be great listeners, and I think we do this well!
What are your hobbies or a fun fact?
I’m somewhat time poor these days as we have a blended family with 5 children to run after. But back when I had time I was a lampwork glass beadmaker, creating unique glass beads and selling these world-wide. I still have my torch, kiln and a mountain of glass, so maybe one day I’ll get back to it.
If you could use one word to describe your business, what would it be?
Bespoke-dedicated-creative (If it’s hyphenated it’s one word isn’t it??)
Favourite photo of you or your work
I like this one because I have fewer ‘crinkles’ as my kids used to call them when they were small!
When it comes to our work, I can’t pick a favourite as they change all the time, but here’s a selection of a few that have been very popular!
Tip for bride and groom on their wedding day….
Breathe, enjoy your day because it goes so fast, and don’t sweat the small stuff.
